Conducting a recce for the client's new camp in Central Equatoria - South Sudan.
Selfie taken in a minefield in Maridi -Southern Sudan in 2007. Note the length of the grass which makes it difficult to deploy heavy machinery, with just a ground recce, due to the unknown terrain. Thank you Google Earth pro!

In Jo's own words...........
"I first met Damian as a Operations Assistant in the London office of ArmorGroup Mine Action (AGMA), but I really got to know Damian and Joe when I worked with them later on a project in South Sudan! My path to South Sudan was a civilian one; I graduated in History(MA) from Edinburgh University; spent a year in Canada; before settling in London and pursuing a career with AGMA. I worked at AGMA for five years, specialising in Mine Action procurement, logistics, mobilisations and administrative processes, before seizing the opportunity to work in the field. I mobilised to South Sudan in June 2009 as Logistics and Procurement Officer, supporting an integrated demining project. I lived in a shipping container in Juba for two years in total, finally leaving the project as Support Manager in 2011. After two years it was time for me to come home and build my nest, and I now live in Northern Ireland with my husband and son, Conrad."
Joanna has joined the Impactii Solutions team as the HQ support manager.
